Situation
As we lose our loved ones on this journey, we always want to have a nice keepsake to remember that individual by. A typical funeral program generated by a funeral home may seem nice, but it doesn’t quite add that finishing touch of elegance, showcasing how one has positively affected other lives.
Key insight
After the passing of a friend’s family member, he wanted to make certain that he not only had a piece of literature for others to read but also had a keepsake that commemorated her and served as a personal salute to her life and the impact that she had on him. Redmond Design of course had to be familiarized with the concept of bereavement and what would be the best ways to facilitate grieving families now as clients. This is when Memorial Keepsakes set its tone as a life celebration company.
Solutions
Design and development of an identity and brand for Memorial Keepsakes. After setting incentives in place, several other funeral homes wanted to become a part of this industry where they can satisfy bereaved families not just with a beautiful ceremony, but with a program that would show others how much that individual meant to them. To further support the birth of the Memorial Keepsakes, Redmond Design developed promotional items that would endorse the company at large venues.
Results
Memorial Keepsakes, or MK as it is affectionately called, managed to kick-start its beginnings with a huge success. It has now grown to become the product of Redmond Design and serve as a subsidiary. After being contacted by several funeral home directors locally and abroad, MK has now been acknowledged nationally as the originators of style and class to a keepsake that one can call their own. Due to their successes, Memorial Keepsakes has now expanded their line of products, not only catering to the funeral industry but now also recognizing and servicing clients for all aspects of life celebration (birthdays, baby births, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, etc.).
